Watched William Hung MV juz now..yeh onli 5mins haha. One word..COK! Its more of a comedy den a MV. Afterall everyone who hears him will noe he cant sing..absoultely not! He has 'marvellous' control of pitch..'superb' range and 'beautiful' musicalility..oh well at least he made me smile. My fren sae he's such a poor thing..being made fun of by the Americans..well I think otherwise..he brought laughter to most ppl ard the world, he's famous (notorious?) and I think he made a lot of money! When he grow old he got something to show to his kids/grandkids :Pp

haha hi guys! I guess I had not been writing for a long time :Pp. Today juz came back frm camp well.. I said b4.. I be staying in mah and goin home on Weds and Fridays :P. ANyw...my old time gaming fren frm last time frm Elysium ask me to play Elysium once again. Well..in the Taiwan server in Chinese..Hey I really miss that game leh. So I tried to get the boxset from SimLim..shucks found out it was sold out and new stock only coming on Friday..Haiz..sad man...Oh well haf to wait till Friday :Pp.
Yesterdae Parade..I was on form! yeh..haha ever since I got the new mouthpiece, it seems I became better. :D Pitching more zai liaoz. The parade was super long...coz of the armour mobiles..there were abt 30+ of them and we had to wait for them to 'march' pass...in a slow speed..Coz I be not doing parades for a week le thus feel sorta of tired after that.. Todae did MASS PT. Meaning SAF parade bands A and B, Central band and Training Wing combined together for PT. Ran the IPPT suppose route. I feel kinda of weak though..been slacking a lot since last time. Need to build up my stamina... Did COG prac later the morning lo...den went to watch Tbone ensemble playing Fly Me To The Moon. Didnt went to the E-mart during the afternoon..it was too hot..and too tired (coz of the run). Decided to go next Wends ba.. Tml..morning COG rehearsal. Our band will be doing main for this coming May. Hmm if you guys r free this Sunday feel free to drop by at the Istana in the evening(ard 1800hrs?). I almost cant log in to the internet juz now!! I accidently backspace my username for loggin into the internet and I forgot what it was...Spent 30min trying different combination but it did not work. Back at home. Tried my new mouthpiece on Tues. The result? MARVELLOUS!! Simply great! My tone changed dramatically. All my band mates commented I sounded much better! Yeh! Heehee I made a good investment somehow. The down thing was I need some time to get use to it. Coz of the wider rim lor. My frenz said I sounded more focus and fuller. And my pitching got better. Yup! :DD
Did a super duper hot rehearsal for the Armour's 35th annvi. Event...Super hot..realli..the sun was directly below us..my toes were burnt! My kiwi(on my shoes) got melted...Somemore the parade was super long..must wait for the mobiles to move in and out...But then the parade was impressive. Massive tanks and armoured mobiles were being deployed for this parade. The trooping was done by them. Having a bad headache now..and I dun feel that well..><|| I wonder if I can go down for the rehearsal tml..haiz..bad day.. ANd is freaking hot now.. posted by gonnie at 7:37 PM

Finish yesterdae Botanical Gardens performance. Quite tiring. Quite a few pple went for the performance. Heard frm one of the ex seniors it was not bad though i think otherwise..My fren recommended a new online game to me..alrite mayb not new..is called Ragnarok Online. And I am playing in the Malaysia server(Penril). Quite interesting game. Characters are a bit like FF Tactics. Graphics is nice too. Due some help frm my fren, I got lvl up quickly. Anyw I guess I will be busy with if for a couple of weeks :P.
Went over to Accent music this morning. Met up with Alex and Derfel. Alex got himself a tbone stand and Derfel went over to send his tbone for repair. I got myself the mouthpiece..yup thatz rite..the one in the link i added in my previous post. I got 1 1/2 CW which has a slightly wider rim then the normal 1 1/2C. Going to try it out tml during self prac :DD. Help Glen to get his long awaited mouthpiece pouch/carrier too. I guess i would be updating actively as before..why? Coz i decided to stay in camp :Pp. Mayb I will got home 1-2times a wk ba :DD see how hehe.. Reading a new series of novel (chinese de) borrowed from the library. Super interesting; I have been reading them diligently for these few days. Hmm some of you would find it familar, its called Xun Qin Ji, written by Huang Yi. Its abt some guy who travelled into the past to help Qin Shi Wang unified China. Talked abt lots of political stuff and complicated relationships between rulers and followers. There are total 7 books in this series. Travelled to couple of libraries to find all 7 of them. Had full band yesterdae and todae. Been busy preparing for this Sunday's performance at Botanical Gardens. Heard from some of my frenz the rehearsals were kinda of disappointing..shrugs..Let nature takes it course ba. Still considering whether to get a new mouthpiece or not...My fren recommanded me a brand on Sunday. Design looks nice. Here's comments frm my fren who went for the SP concert:
"First song was Toccata Marziale by Vaughan Williams.. - Sp band had a great start. =) but then havin been a "loyal" audience to Sp band's concert, IT was jux not enuff. =) anyway, i didn't realli enjoyed this piece.. cos, i wasn't settled down yet. =)) my fault ~ hahax. 2nd Song , Divertimento For Band - 6 movements , all of them veri well presented to the audience. It was one of the many popular "choice" for a concert performance. WAt i find disturbin is that SP trumpeters seemed veri much weaker than the rest of the section. This is agreed by all 5 of us. But nonetheless, They are still good =) I can see the word "shame" on swee huat's face. lOLOL. 3rd Song - Twinkling Flutes- A song which features two flautists as solist.. erm, not a bad piece.. but the band sounded not in tune. maybe it's the flutes/ maybe it's jux me. oH well, i'm not a professional TOo ~~ 4th SOng- Highlights From Chess by Johan de Meij - One of my all time favourite piece~~ Acjc played it the previous time, and this time i got to hear it again =)) veri grand opening by trombones i loved it. =) the horns were like flaring away, and we were all "WOAHHH~H~" lOlx.. i realli have no negative things for them .. until now =) SP ALUMNI BAND First i was already veri impressed with their strength. 50+. i was sooooo jealous.. >.< nvm anyway, it was their debut and i was realli looking forward to their playin. Since many of them used to play in previous MARVELlous concerts. =) They played veri well and impressive for Hungarian March and 2nd Suite for bAnd (alfred reed). I loved their trombones. =))))))) simply loved.. they sounded so big and brassy WOOAOAHAH. then when the third piece came out. "big fun in the sun" i was acutally a bit turned off. cos it was a so damn easy sooooong.. + i hated it. But once thy finished the song.. i actually clapped DAMN loud.. which is unusual.. =))) the drummer completely did not follow the score and came up with different playings. OH MY~! Then when it came to Wipe out. *jaws Drop* realli.. the lower brass is realli DAMn GOOD. oh my.. I dare to say SP's Alumni band's "Big Fun in The Sun" is the Best Version i ever heard in singapore. Kudos. =) and when the MC said sp alumni welcome other band members... I told tun kuang "I WANT~~~~ I WANT TO PLAY WITH THEM >.<~" anyway, realli sp band were good =) + terence teow is handsome ~~ after that, SP band came back, and played 5th song - Inferno- RObert W smith.. HAhahx.. i alwayx tot this song was funny, cos it talked bout hell and blablabla.. SP's brasses were strong. bringin out the "colour" of the song, whereas the oboe player hmm.. abit not consistent. =) the chain and the walkin part realli made mi lurfef.. dunno y. =) when i heard compassvale's versionin SYF, i had the same reaction too. o.0 6th song - Cartoon by Paul Hart. A not veri good piece.. cos i think the players were tired. + this song is veri showy. THe brasses were obviously tirin out and mistakes were surfacing. maybe Mr tan shld consider to balance out the stress/ highlight on his different sections. This year, highlights were on trumpets and trombones. poor things. anyway, the song were quite messy.. which sounds/noise rising from everywhere. I wished i would have turned my ears off at that time. sorri.=) Last song- Japanese Graffiti Vll . It was an attraction to mi, when they announced that they were playint jAp graph 7, cos it was a diff piece. i was amzed that they raelli got the bass guitar ready. Woah.. good band = rich band it's proven =) anyway, the band started gooD. And the alto sax soloist was cool. way cool =) however subsequent solists (trumpet, trombone, tenor sax) weren't as impressive as the alto's. Basically, they were good in my eyes, for Singapore standard. But as a Die HArd TKWO fan. erm, i mux say i'm a bit bias lar =))) anyway, the trumpeter was good lar, cos eh hitted allll his notes. except for one terrible high note =) and the tombonist actually did a great job i think. HOwever, the tenor sax guy... he played as if he was sight readin and totally no feeling. =X oOpx. anyway, It has almost become SP's brand to play JG songs.. I love the songs, and SP nv failed to impress mi with their Versions. ON the whole, seriously if Tertiary bands were included in SYF central judging.. SP band can put all the top JC bands down to shame. ok, maybe not ALL. but i will not be surprised if it imerges as the top band / watsoever. =) SP band is good. the people there are realli playin music. =) ok i've spoken enuff. later i kanna bashed up =)))" Yup thats all :D posted by gonnie at 10:02 PM

Went to watch Hellboy yesterday. Watched it with Suean, Calvin, Jiahui and Liangyou at JP. Expected it to be much more better but den it was juz ok only..Well the effects was nice but that it :Pp Since it was the opening day the cinema was almost full house lo. Hmm borrow lots of books too. It has been a long time since I went to the library. After the movie we went over to somewhere near Suean's block and chatted. Calvin was sick. It was strange to see him toking almost nothing at all. Ahaha thats because hes sick. Went back home ard 11pm and read my books till 1am :P. Juz as I was going to bed..I saw a greeny looking thing opposite me on the wall..Ah damned! Its a grasshopper look-alike insect...with 2 long feelers!! When did it arrived in my room???? And so I kept observing it for 15-20min before I decided its not a threat. When I switched off the lights, I heard this sound, like the insect has jumped/flown off. Flipped the switch back on and found it was gone! I looked around my room for any visible sighting of that creature..cant seems to find it..Wat the hell, I gave up eventually and crawled to bed. It is still in my room somewhere..mayb making a family...wat happens if 1 day I see mani mani grasshoppers (I think it is..)..nvm..
Tried out a new mouthpiece during Tues and Wed combined rehearsal with band A. Its a 1 1/2 C vincent bach mouthpiece. Feel kinda of goot..hmm still considering whether to get 1 for myself. Ho man! I am back frm my esplanade concert! Tired but quite contented for now :D Heres the events of the day...
Woke up ard 10am in the morning and called Zhi zhi regarding the instrumnets thingy. At 11 plus she called back to confirm wif me theres a trumpet avaliable for me and she's helping me to bring it to Esplanade. Thanks you! Reached Esplanade foyer at 1430hrs and collected my admission pass. Went to the back stage, collected my 'weapon'(trumpet) and started a session of warming up. Ard 1530hrs came the rehearsal for the alumni members. Arr..thats the 1st time I sat on the Esplanade chairs and stage :Pp. Did a veri quick rehearsal on the pieces and found out the trumpet section forgot to bring Big Fun in the Sun..Diaoz! Wat an accident..Winston and Jingyun went back to SP to get it after the rehearsal lo... Went out to the foyer with Liangyou;he's looking for Yinbin and Jane and i tagged along wif him. Took a couple of pic for him. Went back to the backstage to have my dinner..I was hungry already. Ohh and it was raining heavily (again..) outside..I wondered wat happen to the COG thingy... Hang around until 1745hrs..tuned and got into the concert stage..arrr..is goin to start..is time for the alumni band to chu power :Pp. It was over!! Damn and that was fast hahaha...made minor mistakes but overall I guess it was fine. No point thinking abt the mistakes we made, it was over le :DD My frenz said we sounded goot..arrr well onli our selves noe that we had make much mistakes but well hehehe..:Pp Went off with Liangyou, Yibin and Jane to Kenny Rogers..LY treated 5 bucks for each of us. Tok cok and music and others over dinner(my 2nd one..). Met with Jiahui, Janice and Yihui over at Swensens ard 2200hrs after dinner with LiangYou. Fooled ard as usual and the usual chatting plus photo taking session... Thats it! I am now at home editting the photos I took today :D And here are the some of them....:  Esplanade nice nice hehe :D

Backed from the OCS parade. Reached camp at ard 1400hrs. Went off to fall in and the bus arrived at 1430hrs. Reached SAFTI warriors hall at 1545hrs. Had our usual warm up and went for dinner.
After dinner it started raining..the parade supposed to start at 1730hrs..but it was raining all the while. Siao! I was shocked...At the peak of the rain (means super heavy...) the brasses were called to go for the parade!! No choice..had to go down in the rain..For me it was still alright to go in the rain..but the thing is..when we reached our starting point..and were almost ready to proceed...the parade was CANCELLED! Wah diaoz...make us wet for nothing..we turned back that instance. My uniform (no.1) was already soaked to the core... super heavy due to the water added. Everyone (the brasses and percussion) were wet for nothing. Wat a uneventful day. Went to 'Cute chicken' near my house for dinner wif my fren. Both of us were shocked to see it was damned crowded. There was a match between Man utd and Ars. goin on. Hmm the scored was (man u) 1:0 (Ars) when i saw it. I think the match ended that way. Done 1 week worth of OCS rehearsals. Mond, Tues and Wed was superbly hot..i was practically having dizzy spells for every rehearsals. Our director of music was not around coz of MC for 6 days.
Thurs and Fri was the actual timing rehearsal. Quite relac on these both days. You noe y? Becoz it was raining! And heavily too haha. Due to the rain the rehearsal was cut short. Food was kinda of not bad on these 2 days. Got back to camp veri late on those 2 days. I cant return my VCDs...haiz had to return them later b4 reporting to camp..Later will be the actual OCS rehearsal..another late coming home :Pp posted by gonnie at 9:38 AM
